These will fill the air gap in the factory Rear Shock Mounts. Ford gave the factory setup a gap to help with softer ride. This makes the shock less efficent, as there is about 1/4 inch of movement.
Someone who installs aftermarket shocks may notice a clunking sound coming from the rear when going over bumps. This is caused by the gold steel washer in the mount slamming into the rubber as the shock moves up and down.
These shims have been made to fill the gap in the stock mounts, which will make someone shocks more responsive, and eliminate the noise from the rear shocks. Someone should not experience any increased noise or harshness, as these are made to keep the stock rear bushings, and retain the stock rubber isolators.
