The Tri-Ax/F™ is more than just a short handle. Steeda re-engineered the entire shift mechanism with an improved pivot ratio so you can enjoy faster shifts without having to bend down to reach the shift knob. The throws are shorter and the shift knob is located in a more comfortable position than the factory shifter, without being too short like other "short throw" shifters that are really nothing more than a chopped down stick. The Tri-Ax/F™ is manufactured with heavy-duty parts to withstand abuse. Installation can be done by the do-it-yourselfer with basic hand tools. The Tri-Ax/F™ is available for all Zetec and SVT Focus with a manual transmission.

Huge improvement over stock absolute must have for focus svt owners

Tri ax shifter

This shifter is really easy to install and doesnt take all that much to do so. Removing the cigarette lighter plug though was a pain, but the overall feel is amazing. Only complaint is being tall it kinda sits far away but the shortened throw makes up for it.

Well, I have actually had my Steeda(Ford Racing) short throw shifter for quite sometime. It was my first mod to my SVT Focus back in 2003, when I bought it new. Since then, I have driven the SVT Focus for well over 100K miles and through a couple of years of AutoX (SCCA Solo) and I have to say, it still feels the same now as it felt back when I bought it new in 2003. I definitely recommend this to anyone picking up a used SVT Focus or rebuilding one as a project. Will not regret. Ray (aka tukaniSVT on the forums)

great product, easy installation, pretty sure it came with paper on how to install with pics. i thought it would be a little difficult, it was pretty simple.
